Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and the jaw. At Pemberton Dental Clinic we have doctors who have additional training in providing orthodontic services for patients starting from age 8 and above. In diagnosis and tx planning, our doctors will recognize and then everything the same as before. In diagnosis and treatment planning, the doctor must recognize the characteristics of the deformity, understand the cause of the problem, and design a treatment plan based on the specific needs and desires of the patient. Below are some methods we use to help correct dental deformities.

Duration of treatment

The duration of an orthodontic treatment may vary from one patient to another. Treatment duration will depend on the patient’s condition and the severity of the deformity that the patient presents with.

Invisalign®

Pemberton Dental provides an invisible alternative to traditional braces. Invisalign® is custom made to fit your teeth comfortably like a mouth guard. Best of all, they are made with high quality plastics to help improve the aesthetics, so you can keep smiling! Patients can also eat and drink whatever they want without worrying about food being trapped between the braces and the wires because they can be easily removed for cleaning. The only downside is that they are more expensive and treatment may potentially take longer.

How it works

Invisalign consists of a series of custom-made, clear aligner trays to help straighten your teeth. These aligners are made of plastic and are worn on your teeth. A new set of aligners are needed about every two weeks until your treatment is complete. As you wear a new set of trays, your teeth will gradually shift into the desired position. Technological advances especially in 3D computer imaging enable us to set the movement of your teeth and provide accurate estimation of treatment durations.
